Morningside Baptist Church | Le Maison Rouge Paris On Ponce Wedding

Morningside Baptist Church | Le Maison Rouge Paris On Ponce Wedding  – Today we have Mrs. Danielle + Mr. Cary’s lovely wedding at Morningside Baptist Church and Le Maison Rouge at Paris on Ponce!  Bowie and I were so excited to get to work with a brand new and AMAZING vendor Crowned Affair Wedding and Events for Danielle and Cary’s amazing day. They have an incredible team of ladies and gents and ran this event without missing a beat! We started their day out at The Melia Hotel in downtown Atlanta. We relaxed and chatted as Danielle and Cary got ready to say “I Do.”  We headed over to Morningside for their truly beautiful and emotion ceremony. We stayed back and fought off a little rain to shoot a few images out  in the beautiful courtyard. After that, we headed over to one of my favorite venues in the city, Paris on Ponce. It’s such fun place – the whole venue is FULL of props and little areas to shoot.  The surprise to everyone is the event space. Danielle and Cary managed to keep the Paris on Ponce a tight secret. The wow factor was not one to be missed at Paris and as you walk into the space you are thrown into a time of the past.  It’s a time of a bohemian state of mind, cabarets and dancing until the sun comes up – very Moulin Rouge! Well, Danielle and Cary’s reception was pretty much that, dancing until “the sun comes up” – even out the door to leave and go on their honeymoon they were getting down!  Their incredible band, amazing dj and super fun crowd made this a wedding for the books. We wish the best to Danielle + Cary and so happy for you and your families! Cheers to you guys and as always, cheers to love!

 

Joseph Ambler Inn | Talamore Country Club Pennsylvania Wedding

Today we have a beautiful Joseph Ambler Inn | Talamore Country Club | Pennsylvania Wedding! Jesse + Rebecca are great friends of ours. When they were looking for a wedding photographer they had no idea that we would travel anywhere in the world to shoot a wedding! We were so excited to find out that there wedding was in Pennsylvania, so close to New York City, that we jumped at the chance to be there for their special day (and we got to take a few extra days in New York)! WIN WIN, Baby! Rebecca started getting ready at Joseph Ambler Inn, and adorable bed and breakfast in Ambler. If you  happen to be in that area you should totally stop, stay and chat with the amazing staff! We stayed at the Inn for part of our time in Ambler and will totally go back one day to relax in the natural beauty of the area. Rebecca and Jesse’s also did their first look and a lot of their photos at then Inn. After all the photos we headed over to Talamore Country Club for the big event! Rebecca was so nervous as she walked down the isle but all day, as you can clearly see by the photos, she was one of the happiness brides I’ve ever seen. Jesse has one of the biggest hearts  of any man I ever met. He shed so many tears that weekend for his family, friends and of course he beautiful wife. No matter what anyone says – I LOVE him for all the tears and a tearful groom is a photographers dream! (some of the bridesmaids poked a little fun as his expense – but in a light hearted way – everyone loves Jesse) 🙂 I wish Jesse + Rebecca an amazing and happy marriage. We were so incredibly thankful to be there to see  the day they sealed  the deal! Jesse + Rebecca’s family treated us like we were on of the bunch and we are always so happy to be around people full of love and joy for everyone (even if we were basically strangers). After the wedding, Bowie and I headed off for an amazing adventure in New York City (blog post to come) We were on Jimmy Fallon – eeekkkkk – like on the stage, it was SO cool! Greystone at Piedmont Park Wedding | Kinley + Reid are Married

Greetings! Today we have Kinley + Reid’s amazing Greystone at Piedmont Park! We were so excited to be apart of their beautiful day. We started out our day at a hotel in Midtown for getting ready events. They we all headed over to the Greystone! We had the honor of working with a fantastic vendor, Stylish Styems. Stylish Stems created the amazing bouquets and boutonnieres as well as all the amazing center pieces for the beautiful reception. Their work is amazing so be sure you hear over to their site and check them out! Kinley + Reid has a beautiful day of love and laughter – and at the end were showered with dry lavendar. One thing I will never forget about their wedding was the amazing way the park smelled at the end of the night. With how much lavender Kinley + Reid had thrown at them, I am sure they smelled like lavender all the way to Costa Rica – their amazing honeymoon destination! We wish many years of happiness to our lovely bride and handsome groom! Cheers to love and Cheers to Kinley + Reid!

 

Fox Theater Wedding Atlanta | Mark + Derek Teaser

This past weekend, Bowie and I had the pleasure of attending a very special wedding at the amazing Fox Theater in Atlanta! Take a moment to check out Mary + Derek tie the knot! 🙂 They had such a special and relaxed day! We were so happy to be at their wedding and share in the love they truly have for each other. With Mary’s adorable laugh,  and gestures of super sweet-heart – to Derek’s kind, loving and generous nature, it truly was a day of beauty and tons of laughter.

Reynolds Plantation Wedding | Lake Oconee – Alternative Life Photography & Design – We’ve got a great one for you today guys. An amazing Reynolds Plantation Wedding! Meet Megan + Bobby. Megan + Bobby are two of the sweetest people Bowie and I have ever worked with. We totally connect on so many levels. Bobby + Sharon – we so love video games! We both bonded the moment I mention the famed Chrono Trigger, one of the best video games I’ve ever played in my life! We hit it off super quick chatting about how we like the cartridge game on Super Nintendo better than the lame Playstation game. ANYWAY – Bowie + Megan (well really all of us) bonded the moment he found out she worked for Turner. TV, TV, TV – Bowie was just getting into The Walking Dead and he and Megan dished about how much they both liked the show.

I worked with miss Megan on her invitations creation. Our collaborative idea bled throughout her entire wedding. We worked with Splendid Lady Designs  to create a custom illustration for these very unique people! Megan + Bobby’s personality shined through the main reason for creating custom invitations in the first place. We created illustrations of these two love birds as children for the Save the Date and as adults for the Invitations and some of the many details at their wedding! Check it out:

The rest of the day was wrapped in beauty, whimsy and total love! We were so excited to be apart of this amazing display of true love. Megan + Bobby have a very unique story. They have been together over 10 years. They met in high school but get this – Bobby found a picture of miss Megan on the ground of his highschool. He playfully noted that she was going to be his lady one day. He posted this picture of Megan in his locker in hopes of a meeting her one day (again high school so I know playful, dreamy, hopeful love!) Sometime later Bobby + Megan finally had a class together and the rest is history. Their love is so precious and I get all misty every time I think about their amazing vows. I leave you with the most amazing display of emotion and love – grab your tissues – I can’t get through the first line without crying.

 

Megan: I can’t tell you the moment I knew I loved you or the moment I knew that I did not want to live without you, because it’s always been the two of us…. There’s no one who challenges me, inspires me or makes me laugh the way you do…. you’re the great love of my life and I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life making our life that we are creating better than the last 10 years have been…. (tears falling – not a dry eye in the whole crowd)

 

Bobby: I’ve always known that you are amazing and that you are the one.. you are brilliant and beautiful and your inspire me and make me a better person… Jump into the rushing current – rip it – toll it – and punch it.. you mean everything to me and I love you… In the words of a little sea turtle name “Squirt” we’re gonna have a great jump today.. (the place is pretty much flooded in tears by this point – one of the hardest wedding for me to shoot – through tear filled eyes)

YES –  those are sprinkles being thrown at  Megan + Bobby – He is trying to eat them! HA! Thank you guys so much for having Bowie and I be apart of your amazing day! Just a little exciting side note – While writing this blog today I found out that this amazing wedding will be published in Occasions Magazine in September! We could not be happier for everyone involved! Cheers guys!

 

 

 

Julie + Billy are Married | Georgian Terrace

Julie and Billy were marred back in March at the Georgian Terrace. Their day was very simple, beautiful and a perfect display of how much they are in love with each other and how important their family is to each of them. Bowie and I were so happy to be with Julie and Billy through all the tears and laughter of the day. They had a very beautiful wedding with about twenty of their family members. We are so happy for the Julie and Bill and so happy we have made two great friends in this process. Cheers to love! Thanks so much to Hannah at the Terrace! She was such a dream to work with and we look forward to the next wedding at the beautiful Georgian Terrace!
